Our Story

The "Northern Tribe" is a chapter of the IOOB motorcycle club and is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We are the first IOOB MC in Canada!

The IOOB MC is an international organization with clubs in the United States, Australia and now Canada. The IOOB MC promotes brotherhood and friendship among people who share the common interests of riding motorcycles and having a good time with like minded people. The Northern Tribe was started because a group of friends who loved to hang out, party and ride together decided it would be a cool idea to formalize thier brotherhood. During a trip to Las Vegas we met the IOOB Desert Tribe (which is the "mother tribe" for all IOOB MC) and decided this would be a perfect fit for the kind of club we wanted to start in Edmonton.                                                         In september of 2008 we approached the IOOB Desert Tribe about opening a Charter in Edmonton. After much discussion they agreed to give us a charter if we could find six charter members.  By November 2008 we had eight guys willing to join (the "Orignal 8"). Thus began our prospecting period as a charter club. In April 2009 we recieved our official Charter and so began the Northern Tribe.

In June of 2009 we began constuction on our clubhouse. We decided this would be our "man-cave" and give us a fun place to hang out and meet with our friends. We also knew a clubhouse would give us the opportunity to meet new friends like you! After three weeks of  hard work and a lot of stress, our clubhouse was finished, we completed the project using only volunteer labour and $3,000. We take pride in our clubhouse and consider it an extension of our own homes. Today we have grown our club to include many new members and prospects. We are a "Men's club" making up a brotherhood of like minded individuals who love to ride motorcycles, party, travel and enjoy the company of fun people. Our families are important, our jobs are important and Our Club is important!
